Background Project Output

Simon Homölle was born in Ahaus, Germany. He studied mathematics at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität (WWU) in Münster. His Bachelor thesis had the topic "Simulation of the fractal Brownian motion." In his master studies he focused on inverse and ill-posed problems. During this time he was part of the working group of PD Dr. Carsten Wolters, where he expanded his knowledge in neuroscience from the perspective of a mathematician. The main work was on optimization of the stimulation protocol for transcranial direct-current stimulation (tDCS) based on volume conduction models. Currently Simon is working as a PhD student at the Donders Centre for Cognitive Neuroimaging under the supervision of Prof. Robert Oostenveld.
